Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids Donations

Ever since Helen Keller inspired Lions International to champion the cause in 1925, we’ve served and advocated for the blind and visually impaired. Nearly a century later, this long-standing mission continues unhindered.

Cheshire Lions screened more than 1,650 Cheshire school children for eyesight; 150 were referred to doctors. We support the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation (CLERF) supporting eye research at Yale and UConn. Over $10 million in research grants have been awarded.

You can participate: donate your used eyeglasses and hearing aids at any of these drop boxes and Cheshire Lions will do the rest!

That’s more than in the United Nations. In fact, Lions was a founding member as a non-political group and still holds a U.N. seat. The Cheshire Lions support Lions’ efforts in Connecticut and worldwide.  Lions International supports diabetes, vision, hunger, environment and childhood cancer. Lions are also at the forefront of humanitarian aid and disaster relief.
